LOWER DRYING AND STORAGE RATES
Due to sustained lower natural gas prices we have decided to reduce our drying rates for corn above 19% moisture (see our Rate Sheet for details). The Blackstone and Budd locations will now have the same drying rates as all other Ruff Brothers Grain facilities. We also have reduced our Minimum Storage and Price Later rates by one cent per bushel. Please let us know if you want to take advantage of the 15 cents per bushel minimum rate for corn and beans moved to a Price Later contract.
IMPROVEMENTS FOR FALL 2016
The Gridley facility will have a new 105’ diameter tank at the east end with a capacity of 788,000 bushels. This tank replaces one of the old flat storage buildings that had reached the end of its useful life.
At the Budd facility we have added a 15,000 bph grain leg and dump pit to boost the soybean dumping capacity during harvest. We have also added a new 60’ diameter tank with a capacity of 247,000 bushels. These additions should improve the flow during bean harvest.
NEW CROP CORN AND SOYBEANS ON PRICE LATER
You can save 2 cents per bushel on corn and 4 cents per bushel on soybeans by moving your new crop grain to a Price Later contract. You will be charged a minimum fee of 15 cents/bu. instead of the 17 cents/bu. minimum charge for corn and 19 cents/bu. minimum charge for beans in Open Storage. Please notify us before you start hauling in if you want to place your grain on Price Later.
FALL HAULING SERVICES
We will be offering our fall trucking services this season at a rate of 10 cents per bushel on grain hauled into the closest of our facilities. We ask that you have an auger wagon or another method for loading the trucks quickly. As usual, we will schedule jobs only as the trucks become available. If trucks are not available you will have to wait until they become available. If you are interested in using this service, please give us as much notice as possible before you are ready to haul.

Price Later soybeans will only be assessed the monthly fee of 3.3 cents/bu. until the beans are sold.
